WHP’s Team is Expanding!
Since it’s inception, Winged Hussar Publishing has been a very small, tight-knit, family team. We are happy to announce that there are several people, who have worked long-term with the company, that we have brought on for official roles moving forward - many of which should be names familiar to our audience.
We are happy to announce that we have a new History Editorial Board, consisting of George Nafziger, Adrian Mandzy, and Jim McIntyre. This group of talented authors and scholars will review the historical accuracy and relevance of the titles that we acquire. There is a wealth of knowledge between these seasoned researchers who have contributed countless books across the various time periods of history. We currently publish books from the Nafziger collection, as well as several titles from McIntyre, and several historical wargaming rules from Mandzy. Their knowledge and research will ensure that we continue to provide quality works that our readers have come to expect from us over the years.
Craig Gallant has joined the editorial team at Zmok Books. His experience and career in the SF&F realm, not to mention his years of teaching, have been an instrumental assistance in working on IP genre titles, and helping to craft the tools needed for new authors to succeed. Craig has been part of WHP since our early days, being one of the first authors that we brought onto Zmok Books, and he knows what sort of mentality and standards we incorporate into our publishing. Beyond being a talented author, he is a fantastic person to work alongside, always lighting up the room with his comedy.
Jorge Quesada has joined the layout team, already having worked on several covers across our Zmok Books titles. Emphasizing the original part of “family” in our team, Jorge is an extended member of the Rospond family and has been involved in various projects with us for over twenty years. We’re in the process of discussing a revamp of our historical books’ covers, with Jorge at the helm of the design.
And finally, we’re happy to announce that Bill O’Donnell has been with us as our sales and marketing manager for the past few months. Bill is one of the most talented and seasoned people in the marketing sphere, having worked with Nat Geo for countless years, and he’s already made sure many people in the publishing sphere who haven’t heard about us now have.
WHP started off as a small team, devoted to bringing quality works that anyone of any age can pick up and enjoy - and we’re still committed to that promise. Having these veterans of the industry working with us will only help to further our reach and ensure our products end up in more hands. With the acquisition of On Military Matters two years ago, our team has been busier than ever, working with retailers and customers alike across the world.
Between Winged Hussar Publishing, Zmok Books, Xander Books, and On Military Matters, we have countless works in our pipeline, and we could not be happier to have this talented group of individuals working alongside us.
